Capital Works

In order to build, grow and sustain our municipal infrastructure and deliver improved municipal services within the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, the Department of Municipal Affairs and Environment supports a number of initiatives to facilitate and build on the capital works throughout the province. Capital works encompasses a wide range of municipal infrastructure and is necessary to build on the long-term economic growth of communities, allowing them to deliver strong municipal services and meet infrastructure needs. Typical projects may include water and wastewater treatment, roads, and recreational facilities.
